Cyberduck Setup and Usage

Cyberduck is a free, open-source SFTP client used to securely transfer files between your computer and a remote server. It supports drag-and-drop uploads, bookmarked connections, and large file transfers across Windows and macOS.

  1. Navigate to the Cyberduck download page here.
  2. Download the latest installer for your OS, the name should be something like: Cyberduck-Installer-x.x.x.xxxxx.exe
  3. Run the downloaded file
  4. If prompted, click Yes on the User Account Control prompt.
  5. Wait for the installation to complete, Cyberduck installs silently with no additional steps required.
  1. Navigate to your server on the panel.
  2. Go to settings, and view the SFTP details.
  3. Click Open Connection in the top-left of Cyberduck.
  4. Fill out the details in the connection window.
    1. Copy the server address, and paste it into the Server field on Cyberduck.
    2. Copy the username, and paste it into the Username field.
    3. Enter your password - this is the same password you use to login to the panel
    4. Leave the port blank - this will be filled in automatically Cyberduck Login Details
  5. Click Connect. If prompted with an unknown host warning, click Allow to trust the server and continue.
  6. You should now be connected to your server. The remote server files will be displayed in the main window.
