Connecting to Your Server
There are two ways to join a BeamMP server, the in-game server browser or direct connect with the server’s IP and port.

Connecting
Section titled “Connecting”Works for public servers (Private = false in startup config).
- Open BeamNG.Drive via the BeamMP launcher.
- Click Multiplayer from the main menu.
- Search for your server by name.
- Click the server and press Connect.
If your server doesn’t appear:
- Check the server is running (Console tab shows “Server is up and running!”).
- Verify your authentication key is valid.
- Confirm
Privateis set tofalsein the Startup tab.
Works for both public and private servers. More reliable than the browser.
- Open BeamNG.Drive via the BeamMP launcher.
- Click Multiplayer → Direct Connect.
- Enter the server’s IP address and port.
- Click Connect.
Your server’s IP and port are shown on the Console tab of your Vyper Hosting panel in the format IP:PORT. The default BeamMP port is 48900 but your allocation may differ.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Problem | Likely cause | Potential Fix |

| Server not in browser | Key invalid or Private = true | Check server key and startup config |
| ”Connection refused” | Wrong port or server offline | Verify port in panel Console tab |
| Stuck on “Connecting…” | Mod pack downloading | Wait - large mod packs take time to sync |
| Kicked immediately | Whitelist or admin plugin active | See Managing Players |
| Version mismatch | Client or server outdated | Update launcher and update your server |
Sharing With Friends
Section titled “Sharing With Friends”Send your friends:
- Your server IP and port (from the Console tab)
- The server name to search for in the browser
- A link to the BeamMP launcher: beammp.com
