Server Rules & Description
Your server name and description are your first impression in the BeamMP server browser. Clear rules prevent disputes and make moderation easier.
Writing a Good Description
Section titled “Writing a Good Description”The Description field in the Startup tab is shown when a player clicks your server. Keep it short - players skim. Include:
- Server type (freeroam, race, drift, roleplay)
- Active map or mod pack
- Where to find full rules (Discord link)

Section titled “Naming Your Server”Set the Name field in the Startup tab. Good names are:
- Descriptive:
West Coast Freeroam,Hirochi Race Server - Community-branded:
[VH] Vyper Community Freeroam - Avoid all-caps - it reads as aggressive in the browser
Rules Template
Section titled “Rules Template”Here’s a template you can adapt for your community:
1. Respect other players
No intentional ramming, harassment, or disruption. Everyone should enjoy the server.
2. No cheated or unauthorised mods
Only use vehicles from the server’s mod pack. No injected scripts or modified files.
3. Keep chat clean
No excessive profanity, slurs, or harassment. English in main chat.
4. No intentional server stress
Don’t spam vehicle spawns or attempt to crash the server.
5. Follow admin instructions
Admin decisions are final. Disputes go to Discord, not global chat.
6. Report issues
Found a bug or a cheater? Report it to an admin or via Discord.
Displaying Rules In-Game
Section titled “Displaying Rules In-Game”Install a Lua plugin that responds to /rules in chat, or configure Cobalt Essentials’ MOTD (message of the day) to display rules on join.
