Adding a Server Key

New to Vyper Hosting?

A server key is all you need to get your Vyper Hosting BeamMP server listed publicly - paste it into the Startup tab of your game panel. Get a BeamMP server on our website.

Danger

Never share your server key. Each key is unique to your BeamMP Keymaster account. Sharing it allows others to impersonate your server on the public list.

Note

One key is required per server to appear on the server list. Additional keys can be obtained by supporting BeamMP on Patreon.

Getting Your Key

1. Go to the BeamMP Keymaster and log in with your Discord account.

2. Click the blue ‘here’ link to generate a new key.

3. Fill in a server name and the IP field. The IP field has no effect and can be left as 0.0.0.0.

4. Copy the key that appears - you’ll need it in the next step.

Adding the Key to Your Server

1. Log in to your Game Panel.

2. Select your BeamMP server and go to the Startup tab.

3. Paste the key into the Authentication Key field.

4. Restart your server from the Console tab.

Once the server starts and connects to the BeamMP backend, it will appear on the public server list within a minute or two.

Running Without a Key

If you leave the Authentication Key field blank, your server will still run but will not appear on the server list. Players can still connect via direct connect using your IP and port. This is fine for fully private servers - see Private Server Setup.
